Epic Analyst II

The Epic Analyst II functions as part of the team for implementation, enhancements, upgrades, and support for customers. The Epic Analyst II provides depth of expertise and leadership in both the Epic system at a broad level as well as concentration in modules of expertise to guide teammates and customers on projects while also making diverse and complex individual contributions.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Health care preferred 
OR eight years related work experience 
OR equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two years of experience (four years of experience will be substituted for an associate's degree and eight years of experience will be substituted for a bachelor's degree) 
• Minimum of three (3) years of IT, Healthcare, or related experience required. 
• Experience in an ambulatory clinic setting preferred 
• Minimum of two (2) years of Epic related experience required. 
• Minimum of one (1) Epic Certification with current NVT required. 
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification within six (6) months of date of hire, or moving into this position, required. 
• Kaizen basics course within first year of employment. Base understanding of Lean preferred. 
• EpicCare Ambulatory certification preferred 
• Epic Certification in one or more of the following modules preferred: Beacon, Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, Charge Router, Order Transmittal, Referrals, Welcome, Radiant, MyChart, Care Everywhere, Healthy Planet, Security, or Reporting Workbench. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Include:

• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Solid communication skills, both oral and written. 
• Ability to work in department and interdepartmentally to articulate ideas, negotiate resolution of issues, and achieve objectives. 
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. 
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other productivity tools, and assigned applications and technologies. 

Core Job Functions Include:

• Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests, debugs and maintains Epic software applications. 

• Provides guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of the Epic System 

• Performs analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex incidents not resolved by the user or tier I support. 

• Provides input into developing standards and requirements for new products/services and assists in assuring that new purchases fall within this structure. 

• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of multiple systems. 

Working Conditions Include:

Frequent sitting.

Constant use of arms/wrist, manual dexterity (grasping/squeezing), & keyboard operation.

Must be available to be on call 24x7 for specified periods of time and work alternate shifts as workload requires.
